Delaware (Peach Float)

This week the last state in our study of Southeastern states is Delaware. The capital of Delaware is Dover. Did you know the Peach Blossom is Delaware's state flower? Here's a fun and yummy recipe to make the kids..

Peach Float

• 2 scoops of vanilla ice cream
• 2 cups peach juice
• 1/2 fresh peach, sliced (see note)
• 2 tall glasses

Pour 1 cup peach juice in each glass. Add one scoop vanilla ice cream to each glass. Top with peach slices. Enjoy!
Note: Frozen (thaw first) or canned peaches may be substituted.

My son loved eating this. He had some twice this week. If you are from Delaware feel free to share a recipe with us to try. Next week we begin our study of the Northeastern states. I hope you stop by to see what we learn :)
