This week in our study of Southeastern states is Florida. The capital of Florida is Tallahassee. Did you know that the Orange Blossom is Florida's state flower? Florida is known for its delicious citrus products like oranges, grapefruit, tangerines and tangelos. How about a fun recipe to try...

Florida Fruit Kabobs

Small cluster of grapes
Peel tangerine and separate into sections. Wash apple and slice into 8ths. Peel banana and slice. Wash grapes and remove from stem. Arrange fruit in whatever arrangement you like on 4 wooden sticks. Serve.

Makes 4 kabobs.

We didn't have tangerines so we used a regular orange for ours. Here's a pic of my son making them...

If you are from Florida feel free to share a recipe with us to try. I'll be back next week to share what's next in our study of the Southeastern states. Thank you for stopping by to learn along with us.
