To me it's a perfect little daily devotional for a child around his age. He’s 11 so it appears to fit in well with kids 9-12. Maybe younger than that depending on your child’s stage in his or her development. I love the way the author talks to the reader in a conversation tone. It’s like she’s right there in the room beside them discussing God and His creation. Each time she asked a question I could see my son’s brain really working. He was actually paying close attention to what was being read and thinking about what she said.
The book is broken down into 6 sections for focusing on the 6 days of creation. The daily devotionals are only two pages each. At the close of each days reading there’s a “As for me and my house” section with thought provoking questions to take your discussion further. As a parents my husband and I really appreciate those who write great books like this to help (along with God's word) teach our kids more about our heavenly father. It makes it more fun and exciting to learn about God and all the awesome things He did when He created our world.
