What is your favorite meal of all time?

My favorite meal is oven fried chicken with mashed potatoes, oven roasted vegetables, rolls with butter, and lemon tea to drink. For dessert I would have apple pie with whip cream or vanilla ice cream. YUMMY!!! :D

Update: 11/23/16-
Oven fried chicken or Pork chops, green beans, potato wedges, bread and butter.

Yum! Do you have a good oven fried chicken recipe? How do you oven roast vegetables exactly?

Hey Maureen! As you can see my son is a big eater...LOL This was his journal entry for today. As for the oven fried chicken what I do is use the same ingredients (flour w/season salt or salt, pepper, onion powder & paprika) I would for frying chicken on top of the stove in a skillet minus the oil. I turn on my oven to preheat on 425. I put 1-2 tblsp. butter in a glass baking dish. After I've washed and patted dry my chicken I coat with flour mixture. I put my glass dish with the butter in the oven so it can melt. Once it melts I take it out of the oven and put my coated chicken in the dish and put it in the oven. I let that cook for 30 minutes. Next I turn the oven down to 375 & take the dish out to turn the chicken pieces over to the other side (for even browning). This usually takes another 15-20 minutes. Once it's golden brown on the outside and the juices are running clear you know it's done. I've been cooking it this way for going on 10 years. It's healthier than frying it but not as healthy as coating it with bread crumbs & baking on a baking sheet.

Now for oven roasted vegetables I cover a baking sheet with foil, place my choice of vegetable(s) on there & drizzle with olive oil. You can use asparagus, green beans, Brussels sprouts, carrots, or whatever you like. I rub to make sure all pieces are covered then sprinkle with salt and pepper. I cook it for up to 30 minutes (turning halfway through cooking time). We love the way vegetables tastes this way. Tonight I'm doing carrots in the oven.

Thanks! I'm going to give it a try. I had just been trying to find a good fried chicken recipe. This is a lot like my mom's, but in the oven, which I'd prefer.
