During the holidays I shared a basic cookie butter recipe I made. It was the first time I had ever made some. I’ve made another one since then and want to share it with you.
To make this cookie butter you will need 2 cups of cookie crumbs (It took me around 12 cookies to get enough). Make the crumbs by placing the cookies into your food processor and pulse until it's all crumbs. Next you want to mix together melted butter (1/2 stick), sweetened condensed milk (1/2 cup), and 1/4 cup of evaporated milk (or milk of your choice). Slowly pulse this mixture in your food processor with the cookie crumbs to blend and make a paste like texture. If its too thin just add in more cookie crumbs.
Put cookie butter in a jar and cover. Store in the refrigerator. When you are ready to use it, you may need to let it sit out for 20-30 for it to soften to be a spreadable consistency. We tried this spread on apple slices and graham crackers. YUM!!! I don’t think you can go wrong spreading this on anything for that sweet and buttery deliciousness :-)
