Thinking About Pi

Did you know there is a special day before St. Patrick's Day? It is not printed on our yearly calendars so most don't even know about it. What am I talking about? March 14th which is national Pi Day. You may be wondering why I'm posting about Pi Day when it's still February. Well it does come before St. Patty's Day and will be here in a few weeks. Someone may be interested in doing a Unit Study on Pi with the kids so I wanted to share what I came across. For my Throwback Thursday post this week I decided to show our Pi Day Lapbook from a few years back.

Many may not be the least bit interested in celebrating Pi Day, but it is a fun way to spending the whole day learning. Add some fun in there and the kids won’t mind at all. There are so many resources out there to learn all about Pi.

Here is a list of some ideas we enjoyed and others we plan to take a look at:

Enchanted Learning Pi
Homeschool Share Sir Cumference
The Homeschool Mom Pi Day
