2008 Summer Olympics

We made a lapbook to go along with our study of the Olympics. See our pictures below:

We used different clip art to decorate the front cover. Things you will see below are a book we read called "Tommy and the Great Wall", the Olympic Oath, a flag of China, a map that shows where China is, the torch's journey, some clippings, symbols and traditions as well as a timeline of the Olympics. He also learned to write his numbers in Chinese as well as some information about the Great Wall of China.

Other things you see are some of the sports that were part of the Olympics (a description of each is under the flaps), clippings, and where we kept track of how many medals that our team won. There is also a Bible verse, our diet vs. an athletes diet, as well as a list of track and water events in the Olympics.

Some of the pictures we used were cut from magazines and the newspaper. We got many of our templates from Homeschool Share.
