Taco Bar {Family Fun}

My family and I enjoy having a fun meal night from time to time. Sometimes you just gotta do something out of the norm special to create some precious lasting memories. Here is one of the things we like to do:

Taco Bar Night
On the nights we have tacos, I like to sit up the table with all kinds of toppings sit out for everyone to fill theirs with desired toppings. During Cinco de Mayo we like to do a Chipotle-style dinner. I make so much there’s plenty leftover to enjoy the next day or to create other meals throughout the week. For my son’s graduation party we let everyone create their own choice of tacos and it was a big hit.

Taco Bar
I looked for different ideas online and thought about the things on menus when we eat out. Just think about it. If you combine ideas like Taco Bell and Chipotle, everyone will be in Taco Heaven!

To create an ultimate fun Taco Bar filled with everyone’s favorites, you need things like:

taco shells or bowls
flour tortillas ( can be of different sizes)
tortilla chips
corn chips
taco/fajita meat (like beef or chicken)
pulled pork or pulled chicken
Chipotle Chicken
diced tomatoes
store bought/fresh salsa
Pico de Gallo
Salsa Verde
Corn Salsa
Taco Sauce
Sour Cream
chopped onions or green onions
sautéed bell peppers and onions
cooked rice (we like cilantro lime rice)
cooked pinto or black beans
refried beans
Shredded Cheeses of your choice
diced green chilies
jalapeno peppers
Black olives

What all can everyone create?
regular tacos
walking tacos using a bag of corn chips
taco salad
rice bowls
nachos (of all kinds even Taco Bell’s Nacho Supreme or Bell Grande!)
Use tostadas to make Taco Bell’s Mexican Pizza
skies the limit!

That's about everything I can think of. Does your family like eating tacos? What are some of your favorite toppings or creations?
