Thankful for~ 11/1/18

Thanksgiving is fast approaching us here in the U.S. All month long is a great time for us to stop and reflect on all the ways the Lord has blessed us thus far. No matter what kind of year it has been or what is going on in our lives, there is always something to be thankful for. For the next 4 weeks up to Thanksgiving Day, I will post weekly what I'm grateful for this year. So let's get started.

The photo in the frame is a free printable I got online.

Today I'm thankful for:

Having Jesus as my Lord and Savior. Over 20 years ago I prayed and asked Him for forgiveness for my sins, and for Him to be Lord and Savior of my life. From that day forward it was not about what I wanted but what He wants to do in and through my life. That can only happen if I daily choose to "take up my cross and follow Him" (Luke 9:23). I belong to Him. I've chosen to live in submission to Him. My life has never been the same and I can't image doing life without Him. Have you invited Jesus in to be your Lord and Savior? If not why not do that today. Life is hard enough navigating it on our own. I'm glad God's Word says in Hebrews 13:5~
For He Himself has said, “I will never leave you nor forsake you.”
